We are pleased to announce Tony Award–winning director Michael Mayer joins the creative team of Shanghai Sonatas as Creative Consultant.

Supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Shanghai Sonatas Foundation, and produced by Diane Fisher, the Shanghai Sonatas creative team also welcomes acclaimed playwright Yilong Liu as a collaborator on the musical's book.

As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, Shanghai Sonatas Foundation supports global educational events paired with "Shanghai Sonatas", a new American musical that promotes music, art, history, culture and peace.
